Made me realise that design is more subjective than I thought.
Around different designers, they have very different opinions about the same matter and it could be really extreme views. Like a yes and no thing.

The people there generally quite nice and friendly. And what’s really great is the working hours and environment.
10am – 6.30pm. Drive out lunches that takes an estimate 1h30m. Which means, I only work for like 7 hours. Which is really awesome. The only sian part is the bus ride. But nothing to complain about. Just that bus drivers these days arent exactly very easy on their brakes.

Got assigned to work today. And so far.. uhm.. NONE of the designs were accepted. Apparently, I gave to many quantitative designs than qualitative. So gotta work on that.
Wanted to browse some books when I got home but realised I don’t have identity design books. Think I need to get at least one of those. Uh-huh.
Should help buy for the company too cos theirs are like FREAKING OLD AND OUTDATED.

So yeah. That pretty sums up my work day.

I hope tmr will be better.

As cute as he can be sometimes, this rascal is still very mischievous.
Just as he was getting cuddly in my bed, resting his head on my stomach the night before, my mum complain this morning that he ate a whole piece of bread from some bakery my brother brought back last night.

Just returned from BKK. Sunday to be exact. And man, was it a shopping feast.
I think Yvonne benefited from it the most cos she bought more clothes than agnes and I put together.
But it was really her paradise. All those pretty skirts and tops and dresses. O.O
And when you buy more, they charge cheaper. So yeah. Hahaha.

YAY. So happy with the shopping. Managed to get dresses at incredible prices.
And the food there was great too.
Although communication was a bit of a problem but hey, we were happy at the end of it.
The hotel was fantastically big and comfy, the taxi trips were cheap except for the one we were almost driven to the grand palace when we told the taxi driver to get to grand hyatt. Hahahaha.
But other than those small hiccups, the trip was really really nice.
Oh and the mango sticky rice and hot crepes were pretty awesome too. And not to mention CHEAP again.

Guess it was a good thing that my internship started a bit later.
Cos this trip albeit short, was one hell of a good holiday for us 4 dog owners.

It happened twice. Once when the EC guy called, second was the day of the presentation. Everything just seemed to fall in place so perfectly. I hope I’m not making any wrong believes that the internship is confirmed. But whatever went on yesterday wasn’t even close to negative at all.

Plus, they were telling me that one of their colleagues’ leaving. So I guess that gives them another reason to take this happy girl in.

And somehow, the questions that one of the staffs asked just seemed to be answerable. I mean, I don’t think I had any difficulties to their questions, except when he asked if design is a part of my interest or passion. And how did I know if this is what I really want to do (long term).

I’m quite grateful for a number of things, even to the event that Karn brought me to the other time. And to Kenji’s patient teachings! Really. I don’t think I could have been this happy if not for the string of events that happened ever since I decided to study in RDI. For that moment of happiness, its priceless. Really really priceless. I think for those who have gotten their internship before me would understand this incredible feeling. Its like.. all the shit has been worth it. Hahahahaha.

My only hope is that DAD doesn’t think its some lousy company which is why they thought I did so well and gave me good grades. Other than that, I feel really fulfilled. At least for now. When the internship is confirmed, my happiness will be complete.

Of course then comes the internship itself. I hope to do well, really. Can’t afford to fall below expectations, not my own, not others. So. JIA YOU SABBY! WOOOOHOOOO!

On Tuesday, one of my classmates handed this to me.

SO HAPPY! Another bag added to the collection. And it felt like Christmas when I received it. A very seasonal bag. Hahaha.
Wasn’t expecting any more gifts to come in, plus it was already a week after my birthday.

YAY! Used it today to travel back and forth tamp and city area. Very useful, can store loads!
Damn was so tired that I had to sleep the moment I came back.

And I actually woke up not knowing what day it was. Like “eh? What time already ah? What day is it.. got school not?”
That’s exactly what went through my head when a msg woke me. That 30 sec confusion was quite an interesting feeling. HAHA.

Somehow sending people off can be rather amusing. Of course if it wasn’t for the guy, we wouldn’t have been that entertained.
HAHA.

Stories to continue 3 weeks later, along with the side bets.

But right now, assignments assignments assignments.
While half the population are enjoying their holidays, we private design students are in our crucial midst.
And I finally managed to make my ad look like one. Not too bad for a mediocre image manipulator. hahaha.

Man, kind of anticipating for internship. I’ve forgotten how it feels like to get paid peanuts for slavery.
Hopefully I get to learn more interesting stuff instead of making stupid mistakes. Could be inevitable, but still.. I’m trying to avoid that.

Evening class tonight! Need afternoon booster nap!

For the wishes, high tea, cameras, mustache, letters, for the beautiful love-made cake, the gatherings, lunches, dinners, desserts, universal studios and for making me a very happy girl for turning a year younger. Hahahaha.

I was genuinely happy over all the wishes and gatherings and presents and the trip to Uni Studios.
Although I completely cast my school work aside to celebrate my supposedly celebrationless birthday, its all great memories for my heart to keep.

It’s so hard to imagine my life without all you people out there!
So thank you thank you and thank you for being a part of my life.

But the headache isn’t all over yet.

Its only mid sem so my troubles aren’t done.

Had a pretty interesting weekend.

Dog picnic on Jovan’s birthday.

He’s speaking pretty well now, but still a super mummy’s boy.

At one point, all the dogs were unleashed.

Man, you should have seen Odie and Freckles in running action.

We almost had no more cake and pizza, and all the mats had traces of soil. Hahaha.

Suddenly there are 4 dogs in the family.

Wow.

Then Sunday had this really awesome dinner at Thai Village. It’s been a while since we had such a grand meal.

Made up for the short circuit we experienced at the Yong tau fu shop in Eunos. Perspired like a mad cow, pls. Even the hot outdoors was cooling in comparison.

Coming Friday high tea with Teng at EQUINOX – Swissotel!! YAY! Heard pretty good stuff about it. So I’m expecting good yummy stuff. Better be worth the price! Thanks, Teng! MUAHAHA. Hmm. What should I wear.. Hahahaha.

Saturday will meet the SOX triad members. Hahahaha. Always great meeting them. Makes me feel young.

Come next Monday, I’m turning.. 21. Yes. Twenty ONE.

Going to Universal Studios with J!! Can’t wait! Almost everyone’s been there already.

I think he’s working off the week to pay for it. Hahaha. Yikes. Work harder! Hee.

Then Tuesday will be murderous. Followed by another research presentation on Wed, then Killer on Thurs.
